Compassionate Recovery Project
A guided path through the three layers of recovery.
Getting control of addiction can bring relief and stability.
But stability is not the same as freedom.
If addiction was helping manage shame, fear, anxiety, trauma responses, loneliness, emotional overwhelm, self-rejection, or disconnection, those deeper patterns may still shape your life after the addictive pattern has changed.
The Compassionate Recovery Project was created for people who are ready to explore that deeper work.

An Online Course with Optional Cohort Support
The Compassionate Recovery Project is an online course with optional cohort support.
The course is the main path. It guides participants through 27 modules organized across 9 Recovery Movements. The work is self-paced, but participants are encouraged to move at about one module per week so they have time to complete the Home Practices and integrate each module before continuing.
Participants in the online course also have access to weekly Q&A calls on Thursdays at noon Pacific.
For those who want additional structure, connection, and support applying the work to their lived recovery experience, cohort support is available.
Cohorts provide additional guided support for participants who want more structure, connection, and help applying the work. At launch, there will be one cohort for women and one cohort for men.

What This Is — and What It Is Not
What This Is
• An online course with optional cohort support
• A guided path through the three layers of recovery
• A structured recovery-focused learning and practice experience
• A supplement to therapy, treatment, meetings, coaching, IFS-informed work, and other recovery supports
• A way to explore what addiction helped manage
• A way to move toward a Fulfilling and Intentional Life that is True to who you are - a FIT Life.
What This Is Not
Not therapy or mental health treatment
Not detox or residential care
Not crisis support
Not a replacement for therapy or treatment
Not a replacement for 12-step programs or any other recovery pathway
Not designed to compete or argue with other recovery approaches
Something is Missing from Recovery
The Compassionate Recovery Project is for people who recognize that addiction has been creating problems and have been addressing those problems for one year or more.
The addiction may involve a substance, a behavior, a compulsive pattern, or another form of self-management. You may or may not have stopped the addictive substance, behavior, or pattern.
This work may be a fit if what you have experienced so far in recovery is real, but incomplete. You may have more stability than you once had, but still feel caught in vigilance, shame, anxiety, self-management, emotional pressure, or patterns that keep life smaller than you hoped.
The Compassionate Recovery Project is for people who are ready to explore what addiction helped manage and begin moving toward a FIT Life: a life that is Fulfilling, Intentional, and True to who they are.
This is for you if you are in recovery but sense that something is missing.
An Honest Word Before You Join
The Compassionate Recovery Project is not for people who are in acute crisis or need detox, residential treatment, or a higher level of care. It is not therapy, mental health treatment, detox, residential care, or crisis support.
It is also not a fit for people who are unable to participate in the course, Q&As, cohorts, or coaching-style instruction without being actively under the influence of addictive substances. You do not have to be completely abstinent to participate. You do need to be willing and able to engage the work when you can be present, attentive, and not actively under the influence of addictive substances.
This work also requires self-reflection. If you are not willing to look honestly and compassionately at your own inner experience, this is probably not the right time for this program.
